About the event
Join strong 18 - 35 Black ladies like you for fun, friends, games, mentorship, lessons of empowerment, and sisterhood as we gather for another dynamic conversational event. We will dive into the topics, issues, barriers, and opportunities that are impacting our voices as people, as health black women, as sisters, mothers, guardians, and leaders in our lives and our communities. Enjoy light food and refreshments. Take home a few prizes. Make some friends. Connect with other women who can mentor you on your path to strength. All guests will be gifted a copy of Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall. Mental and physical health resource information will be shared, including information about testing and treatment of HIV and STIs. FREE, fast, confidential HIV testing will be available onsite.
