Third bank, same answer
We asked three banks about a mortgage as non residents and got the same answer twice, plus one slightly better version of it. Seventy per cent was the ceiling everywhere and the difference sat in the fees.
A broker wanted a percentage for arranging what the third bank had already offered us directly, so we said no and went back to the numbers on our own.
